Sublimotion process®
The SUBLIMOTION-process® is a brand new, innovative technique that guarantees a result which until today cannot be matched by existing techniques. The SUBLIMOTION-process® conditions the surfaces of stainless steel constructions and components in such a way that the surface roughness and topography are drastically improved, without causing any damage or deformation, so that, among other things, its cleanability and hygienic properties are greatly enhanced.

Introduction
The surface qualities of stainless steels after treatment with the SUBLIMOTION-process® particularly benefit sectors such as the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industries, where the hygienic requirements are much greater than in other sectors. In addition, the SUBLIMOTION® process possesses many other properties that make it a great asset to other sectors as well.
Vecom saw opportunities, but also the need, in the application of a new process because the specific laws and regulations concerning the hygienic design of process equipment in the food industry have become increasingly stringent in recent years.

The Process
The innovative SUBLIMOTION process® for the surface treatment and conditioning of stainless steel, from large constructions to small parts, offers the following advantages:
▪ It is a "One step process", i.e. all surface properties are achieved in a single treatment/movement.
▪ The process enables very efficient cleaning and very fine finishing to be achieved, even on irregularly shaped surfaces.
▪ The same values of surface roughness and topography are generated in all directions, resulting in an isotropic surface.
▪ The surface is cleaned at micro-level, micro-cracks are sealed and the durability of the material is improved by the build-up of compressive stress in the surface.
▪ Visual uniform satin finish.
▪ After treatment, the surface has hydrophobic properties.
▪ No iron contamination occurs.
▪ The process is safe, ecological and based on a sustainable technology (Green Process).
▪ No dangerous or toxic chemicals are used.
▪ The process uses a safe, inert, non-damaging cleaning suspension.
▪ Health or environmental problems do not apply and the process is completely dust-free.
